BIO
Chelsea La Vecchia is a writer living in Toronto, Canada. She has a Masters of Arts from the experimental digital media program at the University of Waterloo, and is alumni of the University of Toronto Scarborough creative writing program. A fierce mental health advocate, she is partner at Resilience Writers, an in-patient creative writing workshop at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. In addition, she is the Emerging Writers Coordinator for the Festival of Literary Diversity in Brampton, Canada.
A lover of travel and urban environments, Chelsea spends her spare time walking around whatever city she finds herself in. She loves dance, going to the movies, and walking her 80 pound lab-mix dog, Bella. Her writing explores how technology, magic, and class influence community, especially in the city.
